Holidays is an information site. It republishes public-holiday dates from official government sources and does not provide legal, employment or leave advice. Nothing on this site is a determination of anyone's entitlement to time off.
Verify before you rely
Always confirm with the official source before relying on a date. Holiday dates may move by proclamation or local observance, and a list can be revised after this site was last built. The source named at the foot of each page is the authority; the page here is a copy of it.
Sources
Headline calendars are republished from the producers named on each page: the Office of Personnel Management, GOV.UK, the Canada Revenue Agency, the Fair Work Ombudsman, Citizens Information, the Reserve Bank of India, the Cabinet Office of Japan, the Korean Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Brazilian federal government, the Mexican federal government, the Swiss Federal Statistical Office, the Swedish Parliament, Lovdata, the South African government and Employment New Zealand. The licence for each is on the sources page. Where a source cannot be read, that country is not rebuilt from an estimate.
No legal entitlement
A public holiday is not the same as a personal right to a day off. Employers, schools and individual workplaces may follow different calendars, add days, or apply different rules for staff who work on a public holiday. If you need to know what applies to you, check your contract, your workplace agreement or the relevant employment authority.
Third-party links
Pages link to producer websites and to other Younivi sites. Those destinations are outside our control, and their content, availability and privacy practices are their own. A link is not an endorsement.
Copyright and reuse
The underlying data belongs to its producers and is used under the licence named on each page. The selection, layout and explanatory text are published by Younivi. You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link; you may not present the site as your own or resell the data as a Younivi product.
No warranty
We take care to read the sources as published, but we give no warranty that the pages are complete, current or free of transcription error. Official institutions and legislatures revise calendars. A rebuild can change a past printed date because the source changed.
Corrections
If you find a date that disagrees with its official source, write to [email protected] with the country, year, date and the source you checked. Corrections are made in the build and appear at the next rebuild.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Younivi is not liable for loss you incur by relying on these pages. New Zealand law governs this notice. We may amend this notice as the site changes; the current version is the one published here.
